Anzo for Excel is an exceptionally powerful tool for gaining access to, sharing and managing data that is otherwise locked away in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Anzo for Excel is a plug in that is installed locally on the user’s computer and appears seamlessly within the Excel application. You simply associate data in the spreadsheet with data definitions that you have created. New data definitions can be created on the fly or the system can generate them automatically from your existing spreadsheets. Data within the spreadsheet can be transformed (ETL style) if necessary during the linking process using powerful regular expressions. Once a spreadsheet is linked, the job is done. That data is now be shared and can be consumed by any other applications or databases that use the same definition, subject of course to appropriate permissions.
Linking spreadsheets is simple
The linking can be done by individual users at their desktop or centrally by corporate staff. Linked spreadsheets can be created as reusable templates and distributed internally or outside of the enterprise, allowing for ease of use, standardization and consistency in how data is collected and consumed. Linked spreadsheets can be connected to the Anzo Data Collaboration Server in real-time or shipped in batch mode where they are consumed by the server automatically.
The Anzo Data Collaboration Server stores the data separately from the spreadsheet so that it can be used at any time by other applications, combined with other data and viewed as needed. Changes to either this master data or in the linked spreadsheet are reflected immediately wherever that data is used. A complete history is kept of every change to every data element so that you can always recreate any version of any spreadsheet no matter how many times it was changed, no matter who changed it.

Define data collection forms as needed using Microsoft Excel. Include instructions to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Distribute them across your enterprise via email or provide them as standard Excel templates from SharePoint or other document management systems and fileservers.
