Responsibilities
This person will be responsible for coordinating, implementing and executing product testing efforts. This includes designing, developing and reviewing test plans and the creation of detailed test cases. Responsibilities include:
- Understand the software requirements of the product suite and develop test plans and test cases
- Log and manage software defects in the defect tracking application
- Execute and manage outsourced tests cycles
- Record and report on software quality metrics
- Identify and automate subsets of test-cases
- Research and answer escalated issues from Tech Support
- Drive continuous improvement in test coverage / effectiveness
- Provide regular status reports to management
Requirements
This position requires a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience. Other requirements include:
- Experience in developing and maintaining test plans and test cases
- Strong Java and Javascript coding capabilities
- Extensive knowledge and experience of test automation and testing tools (Selenium, JUnit)
- Understanding of Web, HTTP, client-server and Enterprise networks
- Strong organizational and issue resolution skills
- Excellent learning ability
- Problem solver that can work both independently and as a member of a team
- Knowledge of Semantic Web technologies and standards an advantage
- Knowledge of Microsoft .net technologies an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel an advantage
This position is located in our Boston, MA office.
